The Gangsta Pico 2Rods picosecond laser with a dual optical system is an innovative pigment-removal device that generates pulses with a duration measured in picoseconds, which means more effective removal of pigments, including coloured pigments, and a shorter time to reach a satisfactory treatment result.

The effect of a picosecond pulse generated by a picosecond laser is mainly a photoacoustic effect confined to the particle of pigment being removed, with a small photothermal component. This is in contrast to the effect of a nanosecond Q-Switch laser pulse, where photothermolysis occurs through a photothermal reaction with a smaller photomechanical effect, and the effects of the photothermal reaction are transferred to the tissue surrounding the pigment. With a picosecond laser, more concentrated energy is delivered to the chromophore (which is the pigment), making it possible to use evenly distributed fluence, and this translates into treatment safety.

The Gangsta Pico 2Rods laser with a dual optical system effectively removes tattoos and permanent make-up by emitting short pulses of light measured in picoseconds. The pulses are selectively absorbed by the pigment. The pigment is destroyed, and its microfragments are absorbed and eliminated by the lymphatic system.

Effective for all skin types. Removes pigment at a depth of 5 mm. Each pigment colour absorbs a different wavelength. Gangsta Pico 2Rods generates a 1064 nm wavelength — for all dark colours; thanks to a KTP crystal, 532 nm — for shades of red; as well as 585 nm, 650 nm and 755 nm.

Removing pigmentation with a picosecond laser is possible thanks to the high absorption of laser radiation by melanin. For reducing epidermal and epidermal-dermal pigmentation, the 532 nm beam is recommended; for dermal pigmentation, the 1064 nm beam.

A treatment in which a colloidal carbon paste is removed from the skin of the face, neck and décolletage with laser radiation. The carbon particles work their way into the pores and uneven texture of the skin, then absorb the light energy of the Nd:YAG laser, which instantly vaporises the preparation together with the impurities. The results are cleansed and tightened pores, a more even skin tone, stimulation of collagen production, reduced inflammation, stimulation of skin cells to regenerate, and stabilised sebum secretion.

In addition to STP and PTP modes, the Gangsta Pico 2Rods laser has an additional GENESIS operating mode. HONEYCOMB (honeycomb-pattern) lenses, a collimator and a fractional lens are included in the set. Biorevitalisation means measures aimed at accelerating regenerative processes and improving health — in this case, the health of the skin.

The Genesis treatment is not only a skin rejuvenation treatment: it also helps the skin regenerate, stimulates collagen production, and helps get rid of the most common skin problems, such as broken capillaries, erythema, enlarged pores or pigmentation.

A 1064 nm laser beam with the GENESIS lens heats the upper layers of the dermis, which stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin fibres. It also acts on haemoglobin — it narrows dilated blood vessel walls, thereby strengthening the skin's vascularisation, improving its tone, and reducing redness, pigmentation and inflammation. Genesis is an excellent skin-revitalising treatment. Right after the treatment, the skin is visibly firmer, with a marked improvement in its appearance and tone. Straight afterwards we also see a reduction in finer wrinkles and superficial pigmentation.

Full treatment results are seen after 3–6 months, depending on how long the body takes to produce new collagen fibres. This depends on many factors, including age, lifestyle, etc.
